Overview
Paladon Systems has nearly 30 years experience with providing actuators on a global basis for the most demanding and critical subsea applications, and between 1990 and 2000 had more subsea actuators installed in the North Sea than all our competitors combined. Today Paladon Systems continues to drive subsea valve automation innovation with their Autonomous Shutdown Valve (ASV), the world’s first self-contained subsea actuator system.

Available in double-acting and spring-return linear and quarter-turn configurations, Paladon Systems S-Series all-steel and fully welded subsea actuators can operate linear and quarter-turn valves up to 222,000N and 500,000Nm respectively. Pressure compensated designs are available for operating depths down to 500m, and non-pressure compensated designs for shallow water operation down to 200m.

Applications
Automation of subsea rotary and linear valves.

Operating Ranges
  • Supply Pressure: 13 to 250 Barg (90 to 3,625 psig)
  • Torque Output: 200 to 500,000 Nm (1,770 to 4,425,000 lbs.in.)
  • Thrust Output: Up to 222,000N (50,000 lbs)

Key Features & Benefits
  • Piston linear and scotch-yoked designs, both in double-acting or spring-return (fail-safe) configurations
  • All-steel and fully welded construction
  • Symmetrical, canted or demi-canted yokes available to optimise weight, size and cost
  • Scragged springs (set removal) ensure optimum performance and reliability
  • Diver and ROV operated overrides to ISO 13628-8
  • Actuator and control system flushing to ISO 4406 Class 6 (NAS 6)
  • Retrievable and non-retrievable designs
  • Subsea and splashzone trims
  • Local position indication at diver or ROV override receptacle
  • Actuator and override declutch to allow use on other valves
  • Double block and bleed manifold
  • Remote position indication via subsea electrical connectors
